Western countries have seized foreign reserves of the Russian central bank. Russia has prevented foreigners from selling Russian securities and expatriating foreign currency. Financial sanctions will make Russia more self-reliant self-sufficient, as previous sanctions have done. Hundreds of man-portable anti-aircraft missiles such as Stinger and NLAW are being sent to Ukraine. (Ukrainian airspace will not be safe for civilian aircraft for several years.) There is even talk of sending fighter jets, hopefully not the EU flying turkeys Eurofighters. Ukraine has chosen not to negotiate and decided to fight. Russia blew up a dam in the South that Ukraine built to block water to Crimea. BP has decided to give up its $25 billion investment in Rosneft. They fully deserve their stupidity. It is the one good thing to come out of this war.

  The usual suspects in the Western media outlets (CNN, Washington Post…) have claimed that the soldiers bravely told the Russian to multiply and were gunned down. Ukraine president Elensky prematurely posthumously decorated them.
• To end the war, Ukraine should be self-aware, give up NATO aspirations, expel US advisors and promise to be neutral
  

  All NATO countries have refused to provide military help. The US and UK would rather use Ukraine civilians and soldiers as cannon-fodder in a long-drawn-out low-intensity warfare against the occupation rather than deploy their own troops against Russia.

  The only choice for Ukraine is to end xenophobic policies implemented against ethnic Russians. It should also promise not to use the military against Donbass. Reconciliation between ethnic Ukrainians and Russians, who are all slavs, will happen over several years and past mistakes will be forgiven if not forgotten. Ukrainian language is like Gaelic (Irish) in Ireland. Everyone loves it but speaks Russian instead. This shouldn't be too difficult.

  NATO is a US- and UK-run military club where the membership fees are higher than the benefits. It has a huge bureaucracy and expensive budget. NATO exists solely to purloin the defence budgets of member states so that US and UK can threaten tiny nations when they refuse to pay back loans or part with their mineral resources. It can never be used against its primary target — Russia, at least not when Putin is around.

  Ukraine can become a wealthy and prosperous nation on its own without anybody's help. It has plenty of farmland and untapped gas reserves. Instead of handing them over to Western companies, Ukraine government should develop these assets to build their nation-state just like Russia has done. NATO membership is a worthless luxury for wealthy European nations that the young and poor Ukraine can ill-afford.

  It was the Ukrainian military that shelled Donbass and now they are to become the good guys? What about the Azov Battallion with their neo-Nazis? You want to negotiate with them? Coups are bad not only for Ukraine but also for Russia.

  Without any evidence, Reuters and other Western news organizations have reported that ground troops and artillery have crossed the border in the North and the South. Ukrainian military has denied any Russian ground invasion in Odessa in the South although it was also hit with missiles.

  The day began with missiles raining down on targets across Ukraine and reports of troops and armour pouring across the borders from Russia and Belarus to the north and east.

  All other news sources are citing Reuters for reporting that ground troops and tanks have crossed over but Reuters is itself citing unidentified 'reports' of its own. Remember, during the Georgia-Russia conflict, Reuters came up with some staged photos. I am sure the 'crisis actor' teams (US State Department spokesperson's words) will be in action soon.
